Poker Players to Watch in 2015

The previous year, 2014 was a remarkable year for some of the poker players and this year, some players are worth watching. Based on their past performance and if they carry on with the same zeal they have exhibited all along, these poker players have a complete blend of what it takes to lighten up the poker game. However, as expected in every game, there might be some players who might surprise, but nevertheless these are the players to watch in 2015.

Daniel Colman

Daniel Colman was the 2014 poker player of the year. He was ranked the top player not only in Global Player Index but also by BLUFF Player of the Year rankings. Colman took up the poker world by storm and ignited it in many ways. He not only excited the game of poker, but he also elevated it to new heights. That was 21014 for 2014 and expectations are high for him in 2015. There is little doubt that Colman with disappoint and remains the man to watch in 2015.

Martin Jacobson

Although Martin Jacobson didn’t feature in 2012 top ten Global Player Index; he was the 6th overall player according to BLUFF Player of the Year rankings. Jacobson showed some potential to be one of the best players and BLUFF European magazine even asked if he is "The Best World Champion Ever?" Jacobson may have been little in America and other continents, but in Europe he was one of the best players. Jacobson is ripe to be a hit in 2015, and he is a poker player to watch.


PratyushBuddiga has grown into the game every day. He seems to be getting better and better as he is enjoying every bit of him. He was ranked 8th overall according to BLUFF Player of the Year rankings, and although he doesn’t feature in the top ten GPI, that doesn’t underestimate his potential. In 2014, Buddiga had over $2m in live tournament earnings, and if he continues at the same pace in 2015, there can only be more to expect from him.

Simon Deadman

Simon Deadman has always exhibited qualities that will make him one of the best players in the poker history. After severally finishing in top four, Deadman proved he has the potential to be better when he won the Hollywood Poker Open Grand Final in Las Vegas. He also finished fourth in the EPT Prague High Roller tournament further demonstrating his ability to battle with the elites. If Deadman surges on with the same spirit, he will be a player worth watching in 2015.

Ole Schemion

Ranked second and fifth according to GPI and BLUFF Player of the Year rankings respectively, Schemion is a poker player to watch in 2015. The year 2014 was a great one for Schemion. He beat his closest competitor in a head auction to win the European Poker Tour San Remo Higher Roller. With live earnings of $4.7m, Schemion's performance can be termed as incredible considering he has been in this game for about three years. A lot can be expected of Ole Schemion in 2015, and it will truly exciting player to watch him.
